What is Cineman.gr
Cineman.gr is a website that views cinema as an artistically carved window to the world,  being both aesthetically comprehensive and complete fun.

It chooses to present those films which, one way or the other, combine the artistic attempt with aesthetic joy and entertainment, from the Romanian 4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days to Cabaret .

It entails information about new roads, ways of writing and filming and experiencing throught the cinema, something that the Internet days only seem to monopolize from sequels and sequels of sequels! Cineman.gr likes American cinema, but has its eyes and ears open..

News at CINEBUZZ refer to events that have a genuine cinematic value. Noone will be wiser if she learns about Brad Pitt's breakfast, but the new developments in downloading are worthy of attention (yes, Oscars are still included).

Interesting films to be released in COMING SOON, whereas films  released in the last 2 months (worldwide) are shown in NEW FILMS .

FILMOTHEQUE is a central part of  Cineman.gr.  It includes the whole of the films filed at  the website, and it apportions them according to their genre and country origin. It does not puts into exile or embelllishes a genre or a national school of cinema. The Israeli Band's visit has its place at Cineman.gr, as well as the Lord of the Rings (part 3), but not Eddie Murphy's Norbit.

Plot has its place, trailer&clips, review and distinctions and credits.

A big boy now, Cineman.gr still treasures animation (not only comedies) in the relevant section: ANIMATION

The increasing cinematic influence that documentaries have cannot pass uncommented. Whatever new in the magical place of documentation finds its place in  DOCUMENTARIES.

Cineman.gr believes that the past can be as present as also forerunner in certain cases (without making a case for a certain trend). CINE-CLASSIC presents films that its contriibutors think they fulfill the above.

American cinema gets the foremost credit, but the new way to inform about cinema is going to festivals! The section FESTIVALS & AWARDS mirrors the attempt for multi-faceted information from the increasing numbers of festival and awards all over the planet.

Its contributors (so far) come from Greece, so here is the section that celebrates important films and events from the South-European country: GREECE

In other words: Cineman.gr examines the joy of cinematic art. We hope its scope is deep and clear enough.
